(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mehmanparast said taking tough stands through promotion of Islamophobia and racism, and adopting double-standard policies in dealing with terrorism and human rights have turned the Canadian government into a source of tension threatening international relations.
He advised the Canadian government to pay more attention to its domestic issues, recognize the rights of its indigenous people and avoid promoting Islamophobia nationwide.
Adopting wrong policies and aggressive literature in dealing with the Islamic Republic of Iran will back fire and and bear no fruits as already tested by bullying powers, Mehmanparast said.
The Canadian government tried to disrupt friendly relations between the two nations but to no avail particularly following successful holding of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Tehran.
Normalization of relations between the two sides has nothing to do with the decision made by the Canadian government and it will be decided by the Islamic Republic of Iran considering its interests and expediencies, he said.
